Fri. 04 Feb 2011. 8:00 am

What did we do and find out this week?

  1. Posts
    1. We looked back at an older post to see how close we were on making some earlier assumptions.
    2. We found out that The Side Isle is being referenced as a source in a Wikepedia article.
    3. We had another post at “Gleanings From A Lifetime“.
  2. Research
    1. Background information and photographs for “Gleanings From A Lifetime”.
    2. A little research on the history of Everett, Washington.

What’s planned for next week?

  1. Research
    1. Continue to go back through my sources and see if any information has been added to other people’s data.
    2. Continue to do back-up research for “Into The Heart Of Darkness”.
  2. Posts
    1. Another installment for “Into The Heart of Darkness”.
    2. Optional – a bit of background information on the Flying Tigers, the Burma Road, Kunming China and Stephan Delcourt.

  1. I continued to update the information on The Side Isle secure website.
    1. Please remember this is a work-in-progress and, as such, there are a lot of inaccuracies and missing data. Your help in proofing this data would be greatly appreciated.
  2. I edited (mostly just cropping and rotating) several photographs I received this week.

    1. I edited the links widget.
    2. I added photographs to the “smile” widget both on The Side Isle, Gleanings Of A Lifetime and the family tree.
    3. The week’s updates for the family tree statistics and the number of The Side Isle visitor hits:

    Persons Families Hits
    This Week 956 364 1,963
    Last Week 951 361 1,878

A special thanks to the following people for providing links, information, comments, suggestions and other contributions for this blog site during the last week.

    1. Ken Harmon
      1. For providing pictures of his mom and dad and their parents.
    2. Everyone who stopped by The Side Isle this week.

I would like to make the following special requests for your help.

    1. Do you have any vintage photographs or documents of anyone or place mentioned here in this blog? If you do then I would like to get a copy. We can try to make arrangements to have them duplicated.
